Hi, I am Candace. I am from Fort Smith, AR and am 35 years old. I was 10 years old when I had my first beer with my dad. At age 12, we used meth together. Before the end of high school, I dropped out because I was a full-blown addict. My father died of a drug overdose and my mother drank herself to death. I became an orphan and in need of a new family. I came to Adult and Teen Challenge in 2021 to find healing from my addiction after suicide attempts. I graduated and am now serving as an Emerging Leader Intern. This has become my new family, who treats me with unconditional love.
