Here is where I found healing and experienced peace like never before. My relationships are better than ever and know what it means to have real joy in my life.
We know facing life-controlling problems such as drug and alcohol addictions are incredibly difficult. That’s why our proven residential rehabilitation program helps our students become established in society through holistic recovery, mentoring, education, and job training.
The Great Lakes Robby Dawson Home for Women is considered one of the top Adult & Teen Challenge facilities in the United States.
Our Robby Dawson Home for Women is a beautiful and spacious facility located in downtown Milwaukee’s historic Concordia Neighborhood.
We can help you take back control over your life and find freedom in living within established boundaries.
God has a much greater purpose for you than coping with addiction, and our drug and alcohol recovery center can help you become the responsible leader you were always meant to be.
Adult & Teen Challenge was founded in 1958 by Pastor David Wilkerson who began ministering to drug addicts and gang members.
Adult & Teen Challenge is a residential recovery and discipleship program.
We commit to working with individuals in our program for a full year, not a few weeks or months.
“My name is Grace and I am 25 years old. I was born and raised in the south side of Chicago. My parents got divorced when I was 12 years old and it really affected me. I was very upset and sad that I had to be in the middle of my parent’s separation. As I got older I continued to carry this anger and darkness that followed me.”
“I grew up in a normal and healthy family. There were no problems with alcohol or drugs. I started drinking occasionally on the weekends in high school. During my twenties and thirties, I drank socially.…”
“My name is Natalie and I’m 20 years old. I am proud to say I have found God, and there is no going back for me. Over one year ago I came into the program, a completely broken and lost soul. I had tried everything that the world had to offer me, explored every religion, but I was still left empty. I was facing prison time. ”
“When I founded Teen Challenge 40 years ago, I had no idea that God would multiply this movement around the world! From the beginning, my vision has been to introduce troubled young people to Jesus Christ, and then get them back on the streets witnessing for the Lord. Today, God is raising up a mighty army of Spirit-filled soul-winners and evangelists – out of former drug addicts and gang members! But we must have help to continue. The problems we see today are much worse than what I encountered in New York in 1958. I pray you will stand with us in prayer and support.”
“Adult & Teen Challenge has a far better record of dealing with people in difficulty than do the bureaucrats.”
“Teen Challenge is the oldest one of the most effective ongoing programs of its kind in America. Not only does Teen Challenge help our young people deal with substance abuse, but it also gives our kids something to live for, a relationship with God, a healthy self-esteem – direction in their lives that finally leads somewhere.”
“Adult & Teen Challenge is one of the most successful programs in our country.”
“I’ve believed in this ministry since it’s very beginning, and I continue to support it. I consider it a real privilege to endorse this work. Thank God for Teen Challenge!”
“Thank you for ministering the gifts of mercy and servanthood at our service last Sunday. Teen Challenge is truly a Good Samaritan’s ministry and very close to my – and Parklawn Assembly of God’s – heart and vision.”
“With the deterioration of society, Teen Challenge has become one of the most important arms of the church to this generation.”
“Adult and Teen Challenge offers hope and restoration to individuals.”
“A government funded research project concluded that Adult and Teen Challenge has the highest success rate for substance abuse.”
